VIRTUS

With our longstanding commitment in mind, all parishes and Archdiocesan Catholic Schools use VIRTUS, a compliance management system that allows all parishes and schools to facilitate compliance with Archdiocesan child protection requirements for all volunteers who work with minors, employees, and clergy.

For New Volunteers:

All those who wish to work or volunteer in our school must be appropriately screened and trained and provide three written references to the school. 

All training and documentation takes place through the VIRTUS website. As a new volunteer, you will need to first register online. To register (VIRTUS link is in the step-by-step instructions):

1. Click "First-Time Registrant." 

2. Select "Begin the registration process." 

3. Next, select "Baltimore Archdiocese." 

4. Create your login-ID and password. 

You will be asked to provide three references. Click here for step-by-step instructions.

**PLEASE NOTE: You must ask these three references to complete the Archdiocese of Baltimore Reference Check for Volunteers form and return all three forms to the St. Joseph School volunteer coordinator, Mrs. Christy.  Please contact Mrs. Christy, cchristy@stjoeschool.org with any questions.
